During her internship Lisa studied Political and Social Sciences at the University of Bonn.

In spring 2018 I did a two-month internship at Democracy International which was great fun and a good opportunity to get to know the work of a small NGO. My main tasks were to manage the Twitter- and Facebook-channel and to write a weekly press review. Furthermore, I helped updating the website. I wrote several reports for it and for the newsletter. A big project that was being launched during my time at Democracy International and in which I got involved was the European Public Sphere Tour in NRW. I supported the others with preparing the individual events in advance and with the on-site realization. Besides, I was instrumental in supporting the communication on the events. This means, I promoted them on the social media channels and documented the results afterwards on the website. I particularly liked the fact that I was able to try out a lot and above all to contribute my own ideas. Everyone was always very helpful and gave me a warm welcome right from the start. The internship will always remain in my good memory, whereby the trip to San Sebastian for an EPS event and the day trip to the ECI Day in Brussels were outstanding moments.
