One of the main missions of Democracy International is to strengthen people power on the global level. We focus on reinforcing direct democracy networks across borders and work towards more ways for people to participate in global decision-making.

As more and more issues can only be tackled on the global level, we need global democracy instruments to match.

Our international campaigns and projects aim at creating a global hub for democracy activism, expertise and best practice. We advocate for more and better tools for citizens everywhere to take influence on the global political agenda, connect people working on direct democracy and citizen participation around the globe and organise opportunities for learning and exchange.
