Mehdi Ben Mimoun was the coordinator of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2015 Global Forum for Modern Direct Democracy.  During the first free elections in Tunisia in 2011 he has been member of the local ISIE (high independent election authority). He is personally convinced by the importance of promoting direct democracy and citizen participation at the local, national and global level and is thus committed to especially strengthen the still young and fragile democracy in Tunisia.

He is author and coauthor of more than 120 scientific papers and conference communications.
