Daniela Bozhinova was hugely involved in organising local referenda against Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline project through the Black Sea. She co-chairs the Greens in Bulgaria (Zelenite). She is the author of several books („Highlights of the European Constitution”, “The People Decide. Referendums, Initiatives and Recall in the USA”) and has researched issues of direct democracy as a Fulbright scholar.
