Conference "Making Direct Democracy Work in Bulgaria"

On 25 and 26 February 2016, the Bulgarian Association for the Promotion of the Citizens' Initiative and the Center for Research on Direct Democracy invited to an international conference that explored the question of how to improve the national referendum legislation of Bulgaria. The event took place in Sofia, Bulgaria's capital.

Our board membmer from Bulgaria, Daniela Bozhinova organised the conference. Executive manager Daniel Schily spoke as an expert on the legal designs of direct democracy as well as upcoming referendums in 2016.
