Become a volunteer for the European Citizens’ Initiative!
Democracy International is one of the most active organisations in the project "European Citizens’ Initiative". This Europe-wide campaign has been prepared now for half y year and will enter into a new phase after the summer break.
End of September, we intend to start a signature gathering all across Europe calling for the immediate introduction of the right of Citizens’ Initiative. An initiative right on the European level is a long-standing demand of Democracy International. Thus this campaign is a perfect continuation of DI’s activities in the past.
To make it a successful campaign, many many of volunteers will have to come together to support this action. The role of a volunteer is to collect signatures, everyone as many as he or she can. Our idea is that everyone commits himself to a certain amount of signatures that he or she is able to gather. This could be a small number (100 for example) which could “easily” be achieved by asking friends, colleagues, neighbours…
